Privacy Policy

This policy explains which data TributlyBot collects, why, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it simple: we only collect what the bots and the dashboard need to work.

01Who we are

TributlyBot runs the website, the dashboard, the free public bot and the hosted bots. We are the controller of the data described here. You can reach us via the support channel in our Discord.

02What we collect

When you sign in with Discord

  • your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar;
  • the servers you're in, with whether you own or manage them (to show which dashboards you can open).

When you use a bot in a server

  • server and channel IDs, role IDs and the settings you choose;
  • what members log and do with the bot: tributes, amounts, notes, tickets, moderation cases, verification and welcome settings;
  • the Discord IDs and names of the members involved.

When you buy a plan

  • your name, email and country, and a company name, address and VAT number if you add them;
  • invoices and payment status. Card and PayPal details are handled by Stripe and PayPal; we never see or store your card details.

For hosted bots

  • your bot's application ID and token (encrypted), and technical logs to keep it running.

03Why we use it

  • to sign you in and show the right dashboards (performing our contract with you);
  • to run the bots and the features your server turns on;
  • to handle plans, invoices and payments, and to meet tax and accounting rules (legal obligation);
  • to prevent abuse and keep the service secure (legitimate interest).

We don't sell data, show ads or build profiles.

04Message content

Bots read messages only where a feature needs it: custom commands you build, auto-moderation and ticket transcripts. Messages aren't stored, except the ones a feature is meant to keep (like a ticket transcript or a moderation case).

05Cookies

We only use cookies that the site needs:

  • tribute_session: keeps you signed in (7 days);
  • short sign-in cookies that protect the Discord login;
  • your theme and color choice.

There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so we don't ask for consent.

06Who we share it with

Only with services that help us run TributlyBot, and only what they need:

  • Discord, where the bots live;
  • Stripe and PayPal when you pay with them;
  • our hosting provider, which stores the data on our servers.

We may share data if the law requires it.

07How long we keep it

  • Server data stays while the bot is in the server and for a while after, so re-inviting brings it back. Ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
  • Account data stays while you use TributlyBot.
  • Invoices are kept as long as tax law requires (usually 7 years).
  • Technical logs are removed after a short time.

08Security

Bot tokens and payment keys are encrypted at rest, sessions are signed, and only the team can open the admin panel. No system is perfect, but we work to keep your data safe and will tell you if something serious happens.

09Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your data;
  • correct or delete it;
  • limit or object to how we use it;
  • move it to another service.

Contact us via the support channel in our Discord and we'll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

10Children

TributlyBot isn't meant for anyone under 13 (or the minimum age for Discord in your country). If you think a child gave us data, contact us and we'll delete it.

11Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; big changes are announced in the dashboard.
